Chyou’s Arrival and The Weekend

So I bought a (~~fucking~~) Lomo LC-A+ because my original Russian-machinated Kompakt Automat is having a diagnosis of “sticky shutter”. It cannot fire and take pictures whenever it’s sunny.

Some few weeks ago, I bought a Lomo LC-A+ and named this Chinese-Russo camera “Chyou”. I was after “of Chinese name” and “autumn” translation. Speaking of the camera, it is built in light-weight, medium-grade plastic body with the Minitar lens “a copy of a copy” copy from the original USSR compact camera.

I had my shoulders down for quite a bit: comparing the original Soviet camera versus this “Made in China” duplicate. Perhaps maybe, my heart still goes towards the original one, although most of the LC-A+ camera’s new features still compensate some pros and cons from the original baby.

Anyway, “Chyou” descended in my doorway like a pretty bad-ass trapped in a box last Tuesday, March 01, 2011. Took it out from the box and tried reading the books, instructions, manuals, and whatever papers I can find inside the brown disfigured box. I’m so OCD when it comes to this.

FAST FORWARD: The weekend! Friend of mine (Pierre Valfort) had just came back from Manila and was asking to go out and have a drink somewhere last Friday. I didn’t have anything to do since I’m done with my work so I preceded him with some text messages that “I am coming”. That night, the group tried making a plan of going to the beach, in the island of the Guimaras, the next day. I went home around 12:30 AM riding my friend’s motorcycle, speeding up like I’m on the highway to hell.

Guimaras came and I had one of the “best nights ever” as of now. Up until this very moment, I am somehow a little bit tired and maybe passing out my work and continue doing all the things tomorrow morning. Also, I am excited with the upcoming rolls.
